The project 'Tourism of Emotions', promoted by nine schools and secondary schools (IES) of Valencia Community including four schools in Benidorm. Three totems have been installed in some of the most iconic points of the city, where tourists and visitors can find information about this project that promotes healthy leisure. This project involves students from the International School Lope de Vega and the IES L'Almadrava, Mediterrània and Beatriu Fajardo de Mendoza.
The totems have been installed at the doors of the Municipal Center El Torrejó, at Tourist Office, also, next to the escalators access to the Mirador del Castell, and at the confluence of Elche Park with the Paseo de Colón.
In addition, to a short description of the project and the name of the centers participating in it, these totems have a QR code that links to the website of 'Tourism of Emotions'. In this website, the students themselves explain in a video the details and objectives of the project. Also, the totem refers to the 'Route of Emotions' of Benidorm designed by students with healthy leisure suggestions that users can consult through the 'app' Geo Aumentaty.
This project 'Disrupters' received the Tourism Award 'City of Benidorm' 2017 in the local-autonomous category, which recognized the success of this initiative aimed at companies and public administrations implement measures against excessive tourism and in favor of healthy experiences.
